We include the drums in mariachi instrumental, which has never been done.

That's where we can spark an interest.

On people that, perhaps, liked mariachi It was intentional to add that so that we can get a variety of crowds.

Yeah and well with that being said, New Caption you're listening to a 4-4 time.

I don't know if that makes a lot of sense (laughs) But, mariachi is usually counted in 3s or 6s.

So whenever we write music, it's all these guys.

They kind of take care of all that stuff.

Then we just jump on, and make a beat.

To counting 3s or 6 and a lot of the drums have to do with following along with what you hear from the guitars, the violins, the vocals and stuff like that.

It's just kind of like, playing along with everybody.

But, also add that little sparkle... As you can see, I'm not wearing a Mono.

So yeah, it was very intentional to keep some roots in there.

It's important to us because this is where we come from.

My mom is from Mexico... My dad is from Mexico.

So it was definitly intentional to keep some traditional aspects We've recieved both, of course like any project.

Some people are very interested and are like 'wow' but then sometimes it 's a little difficult because Mariachi is normally Spanish.

Some of our songs are written in English so that creates a little bit of a language barrier.

But, none the less, I'm sure they still appreciate to see those instruments that they grew up with like the guittaron, the violins and the trumpets that are traditional mariachi.

Living so close to the border, It 's right next door, it takes 15 minutes.

I was amazed because Mariachi in Mexico is totally a different vibe from a Mariachi here.

I think the first time I got a glimpse of this was when I was 19.

But, when I heard about this it immediately captured my attention because it rocked, man.

You know?

It was so different and right up may alley, along with those original roots so it was beautiful, man.

I would agree.

In a way, I always knew that I would stick to my roots.

I just didn't know how I was going to be able to introduce this new side of me.

I love indie rock music.

So, it's awesome to be able to add my little touch to something that I've been listening to since I was three.
